Hi ASH Volunteers,
Over the last two weeks, we were very fortunate to welcome three new volunteers (Archell, Arman and Rachel) onboard. In order to allow our new joiners to foster a closer relationship with the old folks, we encourage existing volunteers to share their experiences (i.e. conversation topics, volunteering tips and etc) with them during the service.
The befriending session was carried out as planned last Saturday, and we are happy that the residents enjoyed the little assuring conversations, ball games and puzzle solving. Shortly after befriending, a group of church members also paid the home a visit to deliver their blessings through a hymns singing session at the Chapel.
This Saturday, we are reverting back to mass gaming session, and it will last for an hour. The games are the usual ones like hockey and cans smashing. Try your best to encourage participation and have fun too!
Schedule:
2.30 PM - Volunteers to gather at the reading room
3.00 PM - Mass games at the canteen
4.00 PM - Ward to ward singing
5.00 PM - Debriefing
