Preparation for the Dumpling Festival

Practise, Practise and Practise. That’s what we the ASH volunteers have been doing this Saturday, preparing for the 5 songs we’ll be singing on the Dumpling Festival coming next Sat on 3rd June 06. We’ll be singing 1 Hokkian song literally translated to Strive Hard to Win ( Ai Pia Jia Ay Nia), 1 English song ,Top of the World and 3 Chinese songs namely Splash the Water , Fishing and Shanghai song. We’ll be dancing too. So if you wanna watch free performance this coming Saturday, come and join us.

In addition, there’ll be 2 games too along with attractive prizes for the elderly. We’ll be playing Bingo, and another game related to the Dragon boat theme. If you really want to know what the game is, then come and join us starting at 1.30pm on 3rd June.

There was so much fun and laughter during the song rehearsal. Our tummy really had a great exercise from all the laughing because of all the jokes generated by the really comical Teck Ee and Carolyn. We proposed that TE should have a solo performance particularly the Hip Hop version of some of the Chinese songs. It will be a hit with the elderly. Don’t you all agree?

Anyway, really hope to see more volunteers joining us on this coming Saturday. The elderly will appreciate your presence. You can also ask your friends along to join us in this Dumpling Festival.

The programme committee include JiaHao, WeiNi, Eric,Sharon, Michelle, Carolyn and Esther. Thanks to them for all the effort.
